Costco Product Expansion - Winter 2023
PetWise Inc.
In November 2023, I joined PetWise Inc. in Novato, CA, under contract to contribute to their soft goods product division. I worked under the supervision of Hannah Rosenberg.
One of my key projects involved transforming their existing stuffed toy collection by designing oversized versions. Out of the 10 designs I created, 4 were successfully shipped to Costco Worldwide in Q2 2024.
The project required precise scaling of each component of the stuffed toys, including arm length, waist measurements, ear size, and more.
Once these variables were defined, I utilized detailed mathematical calculations to scale the designs from their current large size to a 3XL version tailored for Costco shoppers.
Defining : Costco Size
I was responsible for creating product specifications and sampling toys from the dragon, reptile, jungle, and farm animal assortments.
The final collection was carefully curated to feature the best variety from each assortment, showcasing diverse colors and aligning with the target price point.
Refining the Assortment
The assortment shipped in Q2 2024 to Costco Store all over the world! This was the first time a spotted my work out in the wild and I ave received so many wonderful stories from friends and family that bought the toys and their dogs love them!
